2012 NFPW Conference: At a Glance

Arizona official historian Marshall Trimble is sure to delight during the Thursday evening kick off of the 2012  NFPW Conference. Members and their guests will enjoy catching up with old friends and making new while enjoying authentic Southwestern food  and wine tasting at the opening reception at the Arizona Historical Society Museum.A full slate of workshops and speakers packed with information and inspiration await members on Friday and Saturday at Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale. Speaker highlights include:

• Scottsdale humorist Steve Saffron at the Friday opening session talking about "Leadership & Humor During Tough Times -- How to Lighten Up and Balance Life, Work & Play."
• Kathryn McManus, vice president of global communications for Thunderbird School of Global Management, former head of CNN Japan and a White House pool reporter will offer insight into the expanding arena of global communications.
• Medical writer and journalism professor Ed Sylvester, with Arizona State University Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, speaks Saturday on the art of writing health and medical books.
